Our Quality team, made up of over 70 professionals across various facilities, conducts extensive daily analyses on raw materials, packaging, semi-finished products, finished goods, and in-line inspections. Additionally, the team ensures rigorous oversight of all hygiene and system standards. This amounts to more than one million checks each year.

 

Complementing these analytical activities are visual inspections, sensory evaluations, and quality testing carried out on every production batch. This distinctive practice is essential to us, ensuring we consistently deliver the best flavours and textures in our ice creams, pastries, baked goods, and sweet pastries.



Certifications


Since 1997, Sammontana Italia has aligned its quality system with the requirements of leading international hygiene, system, and organisational standards.

 

All our facilities are certified to the highest levels of GFSI (Global Food Safety Initiative) standards, including IFS (International Food Standard) and BRC (Global Standard for Food Safety).

 

In line with our mission to provide everyone with their own unique taste experience, many of our ice cream and pastry products are certified gluten-free by the Italian Celiac Association (AIC).
